Jamshedpur: The West Singhbhum police recovered the mutilated body of a 50-year-old woman from the forest area in Sonua police station limits on Tuesday.Not ruling out the possibility of witch-hunt killing, the police said that a post-mortem report will determine the cause of the death.Besides, a detailed investigation will reveal the motive behind the murder. “Raids are being conducted to apprehend the suspects. Once the accused are arrested, motive will be known,” said Sonua police station in-charge, Shashibala Bhengra.The police official said that the deceased has was been identified as Sandukui Purty. According to the family, Sandukui was physically and mentally fit and was agile. She had no quarrel with anyone in the village. Prima facie, it looks like the woman was strangulated to death, Shashibala said.
