Patna: Newly appointed Patna divisional commissioner Rajesh Kumar assumed charge at the commissioner’s office in Patna on Wednesday and reviewed the administrative functioning of the division covering six districts.After taking charge, Kumar interacted with officers and employees of the commissioner’s office, sought details of ongoing work and activities, and directed officials to ensure effective, time-bound execution.He reviewed key administrative issues, development works, and the progress of schemes and programmes in Patna, Nalanda, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur districts, seeking updates on the implementation of govt welfare and development initiatives.Kumar said ensuring transparent and effective delivery of benefits under welfare and development schemes would be among his top priorities.He emphasised accountability, sensitivity and timeliness in administrative work, and directed that public grievances be addressed promptly. He also asked officials and staff to work as a team with public interest at the centre of their functioning.Commissioner’s secretary Vinay Kumar Thakur, deputy director (food) Pratibha Sinha, deputy chief electoral officer Roshan Ali, regional planning officer Anumeha and deputy director, public relations, Lal Babu Singh, among others, were present.
