Hazaribag: A truck helper from Bihar was killed after a goods-laden truck overturned at Jawahar ghat near Telaiya dam in Barhi block of Hazaribag district early Saturday, police said.The deceased was identified as Sudhir Kumar, 25, a resident of Dumri Tajpur village in Nawada district of Bihar.Barhi police station in charge Binod Kumar said, “The truck was transporting raw materials from Bokaro to a cement plant at Daniyawan in Patna. Preliminary findings suggest the driver, Bittu Kumar, lost control of the vehicle.”The body was handed over to the family members of the deceased after the postmortem examination. The truck has been seized and further investigation is under way,” he added.On March 12, a fish-laden truck on way to Bihar from Andhra Pradesh broke through the Jawahar bridge railing and plunged nearly 50ft into the dam. Both the driver and helper had died on the spot.
