Patna: Aspirants preparing for teacher recruitment and other competitive examinations have announced an indefinite protest at Gardanibagh from Aug 18, demanding the immediate release of the BPSC TRE-4 notification and resolution of several pending recruitment issues.Among their key demands are issuance of the TRE-4 notification within five days with adequate vacancies across all subjects, conduct of the examination in a single phase under the “One Candidate, One Result” policy, and withdrawal of contractual service weightage in BSSC CGL-4, Inter-Level and BSO recruitments.The aspirants have also sought announcement of examination dates for recruitment processes pending for nearly three years and release of the librarian recruitment notification, which has remained pending for 18 years.Alok Jha, a core member of the Bihar Students’ Union, said their leader, Dilip Kumar, would begin a hunger strike from Aug 18. He added that the agitation could be intensified if the demands are not met.
