Hazaribag: A power department employee was killed after being hit by a speeding tractor at Baba Path Chowk in Hazaribag town on Thursday. He was identified as Ajay Thakur, an employee of the Hazaribag electricity department and a native of Patratu.According to police, Thakur was on way for work when a speeding tractor knocked him down and fled the spot after the accident. On receiving information, employees of the electricity department reached the site and shifted the body to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination. Muffasil OC Mukesh Kumar Singh said police have registered the case and launched a search for the absconding driver.
